Lucknow: Samajwadi Party President, Akhilesh Yadav, has asserted that he will refrain from joining Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh until a conclusive agreement on seat-sharing between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress is reached.

In a statement to the media during a public event, Yadav expressed, “We have engaged in numerous discussions and exchanged several lists. Samajwadi Party will actively participate in their Nyay Yatra once the seat-sharing is finalized.”

Addressing queries regarding Swami Prasad Maurya’s criticism of the party, Akhilesh responded, “People may join for certain benefits and then depart. It’s challenging to discern their true intentions and understand what is transpiring in their minds.”

The statement underscores the importance of resolving seat-sharing agreements before collaborative political initiatives, reflecting the intricacies involved in alliance negotiations between the two political entities in Uttar Pradesh.
